Baseball America's top 100

Does anyone know when (or how) Baseball America releases their annual top 100 prospect list?  I'm a BA site subscriber.  Will I have access to their top 100 soon?

I like to compare John's work to BA and BP.  I'm also preparing for two SOM drafts the last weekend of this month (February).

I know BP's book comes out in one month, but I wasn't sure about the release of BA's prospect list.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

BA
I don't think it comes out until the end of the month.  I'm sure they'll wait until they finish rolling out their top 10's on Feb. 21 and then it'll probably be out about a week later.

Thanks
And do you know if they usually post the entire list on the website each year?

Yes they do
But i think you might need their subscription to access all of it.

Book
I'm mad they dont put it in the book...

The book
I'm not sure that the individual top 50's that they put in the book aren't more enlightening.

In the book
It said the list comes out during spring training.

Oh and it is free (or at least it was in years past).

Top 100
I know they have made the list available via ESPn's Insider subscription a day or so after it is released on their website.  If I recall correctly, it came out in late February last season - ealrier than usual.

Free
Yes, it's free if you are a web subscriber.  The last team Top 10 is due on Feb 21, and the Top 100 list is usually about a week after that, so you can look for around 2/26-3/2.

Re:
Last year, it was posted around 3/1.

BA top 100
Part of the reason I asked was because my SOM drafts are Sat/Sun, Feb. 24-25.  Basically, it appears that BA will post their list on their site right around that time.  So, we'll see if I am able to view their information in time, or just do post-draft checks after the fact.

Thanks to everyone.

try this

Doug,

This site compiles the top 100's as they get released.  Though it doesn't provide scouting reports, you can contrast and compare lists if that's what you're after.  Good luck.

At the Plate
Laughlin,

Thanks for that site.  I've used several of the listed top 100's, etc. as part of my preparation, but I think John's list, BA's list, and BP's list are the backbone to any compilation.  So, I'll keep waiting.  :)

Thanks though, for the input.

Diamond Futures
I must say, I had a look at their list and my head almost exploded.  Kevin Slowey as the best prospect in baseball?  Dana Eveland ahead of Alex Gordon?  David Quinowski???

I went to the Diamond Futures website and after some hunting around it turns out those are all ranked based on their score in something called OPES, which apparently grades minor leaguers on their performance relative to league average and adjusting for their age relative to league (as opposed to basing it on upside, tools, and other relatively subjective measures).  It's actually kind of a cool look at prospects, something different, though I question how appropriate it is to list it alongside "true" prospect rankings like Jonathan Mayo's.

At any rate it's a neat site and I'll keep referring to their lists, particularly when thinking about the "really young" prospects.  In this edition, F. Mart is at 20, Tabata at 49, and Andrus and Guerra not in the top 100.

Diamond Futures
I look at Diamond Futures a lot.

One thing to note about it, is that it will not rank a player if he hasn't played in full season ball, or received X number of ABs or IP in a specific level.
