Ethier v Lind v Hermida
I'd like to see how people size up this group. Ethier and Hermida have a year under their belt while Lind made a splash with a small sample size. I've been a big Hermida fan and still am. I like his swing-plane and the fact he'll take a walk. His defense looked a little suspect from the times I saw him. I really haven't seen Ethier much or Lind. I read that Ethier had a poor last month of the season. Where does Lind fit in with these guys....better or below them? Is Ethier for real or a guy that's going to disappoint?

Personally
That being said I really like Lind as well, not too big of an Ethier fan
But If I had to choose, it would be
Hermida
Lind
Ethier
Lind
Power Potential?
Why did you choose these three to compare? they seem to have pretty different skill sets. One is lauded for his plate discipline, one showed off his contact skills last year in the majors, and one is expected to have pretty good power potential.
I chose....
How does defense figure in your league?
As far as the players go, it seems to me like Lind has more present power but Hermida has more upside if he does grow into his power - if the doubles become home runs. Lind seems safer as a fantasy player, but less valuable in real baseball because as I've heard it, his defense is bad enough that he might have to DH. I don't know a whole lot about Hermida's defense, but I think it's better than Lind's. Ethier is clearly the third of the three for me.
Definitely think you did the right think taking Quentin ahead of those 3, though.
Ethier
Andre Ethier said a shoulder injury was the main cause of his slump over the final quarter of last season.
"What I had was inflammation of the acromioclavicular joint [where the collarbone meets the shoulder], a half-inch edema pocket [swelling], and the rotator cuff was smashed down," he said. Ethier didn't realize the severity of the problem until after the season. "When the season was over, I drove home to Arizona and with my hands on the steering wheel, I realized I couldn't flex my bicep. Something was wrong and I had it checked the next week," he said. "It didn't need surgery, but I had to spend the winter rehabbing it. It's about 95 percent now and by April it will be 100 percent. My swing feels a lot more normal now." Ethier is the heavy favorite to act as the Dodgers' right fielder this season. He'll likely play against lefties as well as righties.Source mlb.com
