Garza or Lind?

I hate myself for doing this, but I need help on a potential trade.  Someone wants Matt Garza from me, and is willing to give me Lind or Loney.  If it was loney, it would be straight up.  If it was Lind, he would want something else (probably someone like Truinfel, jesus Montero, Angel Beltre, or Elvis Andrus.

The thing about this league is that we need to fill 5 outfield spots and there are 16 teams (you do the Math)

I have Hermida, Delmon Young, Markakis, Milledge, Butler, and Carlos Gonzalez as my outfielders, and the following pitchers (1475 IP limit):

Felix, Hamels, Garz, Hirsh, Broxton, Zumaya, Pelfrey, Liriano, Scott Baker, Betances, Andrew miller, Troy Patton, Michael Bowden, Brandon Erbe, Delois Guerra, Cesar Carrillo and Jon Lester

I'm tempted to, just because of my pitching depth and the tremendous value of outfielders in this league.  WHat does everyone here think?  I appreciate the help in advance

huh
The vote (so far) is pretty decisive, but in terms of 2007 performance, I think it's a close call.  I voted for Garza because your outfielders are better than your pitchers and Garza would leave a hole.

I flip-flopped 6 times looking at this
Normally I would say never give up a stud starter but I think this is the exceptional case.  I don't know the rules to the league but it looks like you are future bound.  If the owners trade freely then pick up Lind.  Worst case is you can always turn around and trade him for starting pitching.  By the time you are ready to compete, Liriano will be back.  Of course he could be gone again by then.

Lind's faults?
It's said that he is below average fielder, below average runner and below average arm.  Is this all true -- and (beyond speed) can he turn the other things around? Or maybe he is just Frank Catalanotto with a little more pop?

Lind's defense
I saw him play the outfield quite a bit last year and he's really bad - terrible reads on the ball, slow/misdirected jumps, etc. and didn't seem to improve a whole lot as the year progressed.
I honestly felt bad for him at times because you can see he is trying but he just wasn't getting it out there.

I think the "Frank Catalanotto with a little more pop" idea is on the right track, though I really think Lind is going to play himself into a 1B/DH role at best.

I just made this trade
WOW!

I had Garza and just traded him straight up for Lind....my pitching depth is GREAT and I needed a bat!  It seems that young-good bats are tougher to come by in our league and I have Pelfrey, Gallardo, Bailey, Andrew Miller and just got Eric Hurley off the wire.

I like Lind a lot and for fantasy purposes he can compete w/ Alex Gordon and D Young for rookie of the year.
