Any Hope??
Sorry for the fantasy question, but it does involve pitchers that are still more prospects than anything else.
I would like some opinions, best/worst case scenarios for
Dustin McGowan
Angel Guzman
Edinson Volquez
I have these guys rostered in a keeper league, and I'm starting to think I'm going to go 0 for 3 in terms of one of them ending up a mid rotation starter.
Anybody with a positive outlook on any of these guys?

backend rotation or bullpen guys
McGowan: Has hope if put in bullpen, could become the 2nd Joe Nathan if brought on right. He has a nasty curve but can't control it starting. Nathan was a terrible starter but he became a great closer after a few years in the pen.
Volquez: Borderline 4th-5th starter a lot like Benoit was. He has no breaking pitch and could end up a long releiver.

I'll agree to most of that except...
I think Volquez would be most effective out of the pen though he could be a good setup guy or even closer with his stuff.

McGowan
Fortunately he got an extra year of waivers so will start in AAA and can solidify his status. He has an excellent fastball to go with the curve - can he regain the control is the question.

Janssen
I watched the majority of Janssen's starts last year, and I think he's a 5th starter/long reliever at best.
It looks like if one of the veterans goes down Marcum will be first in line to get called up. Depending of course on how things go in spring training and whose pitching the best at Syracuse.
