rhd's Top 75

Here is my list of top 75 prospects.  I am sending this same list to Slurve.  The list I update on a regular basis is for roto, so it takes me a while to turn it into a 'real' list.  Could use a little more work but Slurve's deadline approaches, so here it is.

It's kind of a 'safe' list, I suppose.  But, FWIW, and I think unlike many of the posters here (correct me if I'm wrong), I've seen a lot of these guys play, albeit briefly.

I could have posted a Top 100 (or Top 300, FTM), but when you get past 75 or so, I find it problematic who to include because you start getting to players that you're more and more unsure about.

Comments are welcome (praise, as well as criticism!).  I generally visit the board after work, and I'm signing off for the evening, so it may be a while before I respond.

Don't really get
How Alvarez is rated so high but Smoak isn't, since at the moment they're pretty close.  But generally, the prospect lists only include drafted players.  Though I think Alvarez and Smoak will be in the top 15 or so of next year's prospect list.
Hey fish, leave those kids alone!

Smoak
Smoak had a rough time in some league this summer (Cape Cod?).  I downgraded him some because of that.  Even before that, he wasnt all that near Alvarez.  It's hard to rank players that have no US pro experience, but I think top 15 overall for him is optimistic, even if he rebounds.

What separates
Tabata and F-Mart by 30 spots?

Re:
I'll give you that their stats w ARL figured in are very similar.  I had them ranked pretty close a year ago.  BA, and others, are rating F-Mart higher than Tabata now, tho, so I'm influenced by that.  And F-Mart's body is a little more projectible.  I've never seen either play.

Sure
That would be great.  Once I get past the top 100, I don't have much info about ranking them against each other.  traviskurtz@sbcglobal.net  - thanks in advance!

OK
I'm on the road now, but I'll try to send it to you later this weekend.

You'll notice that I lot of the better pitchers for this year's draft (Moskos, Latos, Cecil, etc.) I have ranked in the 140-160 range.  That's because I dont know how highly regarded they are in relation to other players.  As BA finishes their Top 10's, a lot of them probably will move up.

Lillibridge?
No love for Brent Lillibridge? I would think a ML-quality glove at SS with a plus arm and a bat that looks to be MLB-average (ie, better-than-average for a SS) at least would get a mention.

Kid finished last season ripping up AAA, has good on base skills and once he gets there, steals bases and doesn't get caught. K-rate looked like it might be an issue earlier this year, but he brought it down to his career level (around 18%) when he got to Richmond. Considering how close he is to the majors, I'd probably have him in my top 50.

Re:
Thanx for your response, mraver.  Lillibridge is 1 of those guys I'd consider for the back of my top 100.  He is in my roto top 100, partly because of his speed.  He was 24 this year and still was in AAA, and may not get a regular MLB gig this year either.  And altho his stats were solid they werent great either.  I'd consider him borderline top 100.  He might make BA's list in the 80-100 range, but I dont expect he'll be any higher.
