I'm interested in how people see (in comparative terms) the careers of the following three pitchers unfolding: Homer Bailey, Clay Buchholz, Joba Chamberlain.
I know there has been a big Joba brouhaha here and I don't want to ignite another problem, so if John feels this is off-limits right now, I'm happy to get the diary deleted. Assuming we stay on the list, I'd be grateful if you would rank them with some commentary on the reasons for your decisions. Comments on things like propensity for injury, whether they will remain as starters or not, and the pattern of their careers (e.g. consistent and unspectacular; extreme peaks and valleys; long vs short period of dominance) would be great. Also, how big are the gaps between #1 and #2, and between #2 and #3?
