2007 Draftee Pro Debuts
So, who had the best/worst debuts? I know some of the players but I usually wait to check out how they did. What about some players in the other early rounds that were intriguing and have big debuts?

I've been waiting for the follow up to that post
I just had a baby
I was planning to get to rounds 2 and 3 before, but it snuck up on me. Plus, I didn't get much feedback on that list from the 1st round. Got my top-50 done first, though ;)
I can still do rounds 2 and 3 next week if people would like to see it. I agree with the initial poster, those rounds are pretty intriguing.
Congrats Dad!

Giants Debuts
Nick Noonan- .316/.357/.451, 3 HR's, 18 SB, 3 CS. For a middle infielder, this kid is solidly built and his arms look like tree trunks. I'm thinking there may be more power there than he's been given credit for.
Andy D'Alessio- .306/.376/.624, 14 HR's. Yes it was the AZL. Word is he was kept back to work out some kinks in his swing. 18 AB's, 10 H, 4 2B, 1 3B, 2 HR after callup to Salem-Keizer.
Dom Duggan- .292/.410/.439, 14 SB, 4 CS. Another college player in the AZL, but a nice OBP.
Charlie Culberson- .266/.376/.416, 19 SB, 1 CS. Notice his OBP is higher than Noonan's and so is his IsoP. Plus, he is more likely to stay at SS than Noonan.
Angel Villalona- .285/.344/.450, 5 HR's. Nascent plate discipline and power from 16 yo international signee. He would still be young for his level if he repeated the AZL next year. Should he stay or go to low A Augusta or SS Salem-Keizer. I guess I would split the difference, keep him in camp out of ST and send him to Salem-Keizer.
Brock Bond- 227/.345/.318. A college draftee in the AZL? How about this? .342/.453/.430, 7 SB, 2 CS after a callup to Salem-Keizer. Another Kevin Frandsen?
Shane Jordan- .300/.389/.416, 15 SB, 3 CS. A tiny player. OF version of David Eckstein?
TJ Brewer- 9-1, 3.05, 65 IP, 16 BB, 52 K's. for Salem-Keizer.
Craig Clark- 5-3, 2.98, 54.1 IP, 23 BB, 55 K. College LHP with similar numbers to what Pat Misch put up a few years ago.
Tmothy Egart- 3-0, 2.94, 33.2 IP, 7 BB, 44 K. Big RHP. Future setup man, or closer?
Steve Edlefsen- 2-0, 1.62, 33.1 IP, 16 BB, 26 K, GO/AO= 4.20!! Throws a 92-94 MPH sinker from a sidearm slot out of the stretch. Very similar to Adam Cowart except with a lot more velocity. This guy could make everybody forget Chad Bradford!
Daniel Otero- 0-0, 1.21, 22.1 IP, 0 BB, 15 K, 19 saves. Don't know much about his stuff.
Jonathan Panell- 2-1, 2.82, 22.1 IP, 5 BB, 33 K. Way under the radar, but an interesting line.
Wilbur Bucardo- 6-2, 1.94, 60.1 IP, 10 BB, 34 K, GO/AO= 3.14. 19 yo from Venezuela. Has 17 yo bro who pitched well for the Giants DSL team. Wilbur reportedly has a 92-95 MPH heavy, heavy sinker with a decent slider and nascent changeup.
Last but not least.......
Tim Alderson- 5 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 12 K's. Tiny sample size, but holy moly! Talk about leavin' 'em wanting more!!
Other first rounders Madison Bumgarner and Wendell Fairley DNP in 2007.

Agreed
On the other hand, Pat Misch, Kevin Correia and Brad Hennessey have seemed to benefit from moving back and forth making them more versatile.
