1986 Replay using Strat-O-Matic

Guys:  Thought you might like this... Sporting News is rerunning every game of the 1986 baseball season using their online strat-o-matic product.  They've got some celebrity managers running some teams, like Curt Schilling (Red Sox), Doug Glanville (Phillies), Will Leitch from Deadspin (Cardinals), and Sean Forman from baseball-reference.

Disclosure:  I'm working at SportingNews these days, but I still think it's pretty cool.  Glanville's been blogging, and it's been really interesting stuff.

It's not really spam
No need to get all offended... It's OT, but I've seen a lot of stuff that's much worse than this (in  terms of spam, tolls, and insults) in the last week or so on this site.

Don't want to offend
I'm not going topic to topic inserting this where it doesn't belong...  created my own diary, as I am allowed to do, about something I think is relevant and on point to people on this site.

I could have been underhanded about it and not given full disclosure, and then it would be fine?

John, or anyone from SB Nation...  you have my permission and complete cooperation if you wish to kill this post.

If it wasn't for disappointments, I wouldn't have any appointments.

Nah
Don't take one person's over the top mud-flinging as a sign of community disapproval. I happen to think it's very interesting. I heard about it on Aaron Gleeman's site too; it's cool that bloggers, broadcasters, and players are all participating in it. It may be a little off-topic, but I'd take this over bullshit fake community prospect lists or fantasy recruiting posts any day of the week.

It is related to SB Nation
...in that Jeff, who runs Lookout Landing, is managing the Mariners.
