info on these players
Can I get some info on these pitchers or position players. Being on the west coast I don't get to see them very much and a few listed are not exactly blue chippers. Just want to know if they have a future or are in the teams plans for the upcoming season. Chris Seddon and Gaby Hernandez from the Marlins, Jason Jaramillo from the Phillies, John Jaso, Gabby Martinez, Jason Pridie, Jeff Ridgway from the TB organization. I see that Seddon is listed on the Marlins SP depth chart on MLB.com Any insight to these guys would be appreciated.

A few
Gabriel Martinez - had one good year in the Cali League. Now limited to playing 1B. Probably maxes out in AAA. No longer on my prospect radar.
John Jaso - Could be a sleeper. Had injury problems that limited his ability to catch much of the last few seasons, but played catcher all of the second half this year. Has a great bat for a catcher, not so much for a 1B or DH. If he can stay at catcher, he might be able to carve out a niche as a major league backup/pinch hitter. Plus power, decent eye.
Jason Pridie - Has lots of tools, but didn't do much between short season and AAA this year. Was compared to Chuck Finley when drafted. Speedy, wiry strong power, has had contact issues, can play decent CF. Lost some development time after being a Rule 5 draftee, although he was returned before ever getting the chance to play (about 1/3 of the way through the season). Suddenly tore things up once he got to AAA. Is in the mix for the 4th OF spot for the Rays next year, with Ruggiano and Perez.
Ridgway - could be a loogy, but probably won't make much major league impact. Was a career minor leaguer whose velocity suddenly jumped from 92 to 95 a few years ago, then dominated AA. Did mediocre in AAA, and got shellacked in the majors. His fastball has a tendency to flatten out, and when it does, it's very hittable. Needs to either learn another pitch or get more movement on his fastball (while maintaining half-decent control of it) to make a go of it in the majors.
Gaby Hernandez was once a top prospect with the Mets (was acquired in the LoDuca trade), but I haven't followed his recent development.
