Better Bet for 2008: Jason Schmidt or Mark Mulder?
Who is the better bet for 2008: Jason Schmidt or Mark Mulder? Jason Schmidt had season ending shoulder surgery and just managed 25 innings pitched in 2007 and will be 35 years of age in January. Reports say that Schmidt should be healthy and ready to return fine for Spring training 2008. Mulder had rotator cuff surgery and missed all of 2007 before managing 11 innings in September in which he got blasted and then had arthroscropic surgery on September 12th on the same rotator cuff. Mulder will turn 31 in August of 2008. Schmidt had a solid 2006 campaign and Mulder had a solid 2005 campaign. This is a fantasy related question because each are 1 year contracts for 2008 at bad contracts, and it is not likely I can deal them. However, it is possible I can package one of them with someone else. Help me make the choice.
Thanks a lot.

Is Death an Option??
If you forced me to make a choice, I'd go with Schmidt. But honestly, I highly doubt either one makes a positive contribution for fantasy teams in 2008.
