danny duffy and daniel cortes

Both of these guys really intrigue me, what do you think their ceilings can be? Any comparables? And even though its a bit too early for Duffy, where do you think Cortes would rank on a top 100 list?

Star-divide

take it easy guys.

Cortes/Duffy
is easily a top 100 for me based on his upside and performance this past season.  He has everything you look for in a pitching prospect, and frankly I am surprised that he is getting so little hype.

I'm also a huge fan of Duffy, but probably too early for top 100 consideration.  Duffy has top of the rotation stuff, he just needs to show he can stay healthy next season.  I think he could have a huge year in the MWL next season.

Cortes was a throw-in in the MacDougal deal last year, no one really talked about him as they were more enamored with Lumsden (who fell off a cliff this year). He's obviously payed off, and is an excellent prospect. He's probably on the back end of top 100 lists right now, but should definitely be on.

Duffy, love this pick. I was at work during rounds 2-5 of the draft. Got home, checked out who we took. OK, Runion in round two, nice pick. Duffy in round 3!?!?! How the hell does a lefty with his stuff fall that far in the draft?!?! Obviously, I was pretty excited with the pick. Command is iffy, but that was/is more of a byproduct of his mechanics which aren't great right now. If he takes a step forward with command of his fastball, he could really take off with a huge year in the MWL. And like deezle said, like all young pitchers, he needs to stay healthy.

How about this possible rotation......
If all goes as planned. Of course, that's a big if but there are reasons to be excited in Kansas City.

Zach Greinke
Gil Meche
Luke Hochevar
Daniel Cortes
Danny Duffy

Add that to Gordon, Butler, Moustakas, Soria. The future looks bright indeed.

I heard Tim Lincecum will win 1 Cy Young & 11 Tim Lincecums. Question is, how many Cole Hamels will he win?
