Fantasy Keeper Question

Guys, I know it's the off-season so I think that it's ok to ask one more fantasy question before my draft this Saturday.
I have the 7th pick in the draft and plan on stocking up on young talent.
I have a feeling Delmon, Weaver, Markakis, Drew and Kendrick will be gone in the top five.

Guys like Billingsby, Sanchez, Hamels, Quinten, C.Young and Russ Martin will possibly be there.  I was hoping to pick Billingsby first, and Hamels for pitching.  I have been reading about how a lot of people are rating C.Young really high based on future projections.  Is it a stretch to say he could go 7th, higher then the guys above?

I have Beltran, Wells and Cuddyer, fairly young OF, and Cain, Myers, Buerhle, Silva and Snell piching.

This is an APBA sim league.

Two questions....
1)    What order do you put these prospects in?
2)    Is Young rated too high at 7 over these guys

I like Young
but you need high-end pitcher more than you need an OF and hamels is the best above
For your team:
Hamels
Sanchez
Young
Billingsley
Quentin
Martin

In general:
Hamels/Young
Quentin
Sanchez
Billingsley
Martin

Though I dont think Billingsley is as good as advertised.

ORDER
I think the draft will be like this...
Delmon
Weaver
Drew
Markakis
Kendrick
Sanchez

Then my pick...
If this is the case I will have to decide with Hamels, or Young.  I also really like Billingsby (power pitcher) who would go well with Cain in my rotation, or Martin (how many catcher that can hit at the top of the order come around).  I have Kedhal and Ausmus, and an upgrade with Ausmus may be great.
I would almost like to trade down and get another first round and second for my 7th, making the pick easier.

it's "billingsley", not billingsby.  chris young really is that good.  i'd take hamels, billingsley or young.  your team needs a pitcher a lot more than a hitter, but hitters are so much more of a sure thing it's always hard for me to do it anyway.  tough call.

Thanks
For the Sppeling corection....
Hitters ARE much more of a sure thing, but is Young that much of a sure thing?  I know he is young and hit well in the minors, but a guy who hits in the mid 250 scares me.  Hes speed / power / defesne combo does make me feel good inside.

It think I will go with Hamels, Young and Billz... flipping a coin if needed.

young
he's got the low-average, high-strikeout rep, but he's been improving that at every level.  he's not going to be a batting champ but overall i don't really think it's a serious concern with everything else he brings to the table.

but hamels is just as much of a stud on the pitching side and you need that more so i'd probably go that way.

Ok..
First, thanks for taking about this.  Seems some people are sick with fantasy stuff, so I understand why some people dont respond...
Lets say Hamels, Young, Markakis, Kendrick and Drew are picked, would you pull the trigger on A.Sanchez before Young?

I love how the 5 year forcast on Baseball Prospectus says this kid will hit between 24 - 30 homers  with a min of 20 sb each year for the next 5 years.  The OBP plus AVG seems to be up too.

I think field players have more value then SP.  I do need an SP, but I think I can get Pelfrey and or Garza with my 24th pick (Yes, they will probably fall that far in this league).  I think Andrew Miller will be avaliable as well.

no
young would be the next guy i'd take if hamels goes.  then also billingsley before anibal.

i like anibal but i like these guys more. anibal's gotten a bump in the public mind from putting up a low ERA in the majors last year but long-term that really has little or nothing to do with anything.  i might even like pelfrey better than him as a keeper - anibal's probably a better pitcher right now, but to my mind he's more delicate and is one of those guys who will only peak for a few years and then decline or get hurt, whereas i can see pelfrey being one of those guys who comes up and chucks heavy fastballs for 15 years, schilling-style.

Hamels
Once again, I don't really know how sim leagues work, but I would think Hamels works better in sim than in Fantasy, since it probably mitigates his injury risk and his ability to K guys will play out well.

If your league doesn't distinguish between CF and corner OF for eligiblity, I'd take Quentin over Young.

sim leagues
i don't know anything about sim either, but they have to know what a CF is, don't they?  not much of a sim if that doesn't make any difference.

young is supposed to be a huge defensive CF, in addition to how much i love his hitting.

APBA
Apba is a sim league, that is played in person (board game) or on the computer.  Positions in the OF are not that important.  A guy with a high arm rating (29-35...35 being high) should be in right.  Defensive grades in the OF consist of a 1-3, 3 being the highest.  A guy like young will have a 3 for defense and probably 35-37 in defense.

hm
all right.  young should be a 3 for defense, but his arm actually isn't anything special.

i think at the end of the day if i were you i'd go hamels on this.

In the interest of keeping fantasy threads...
from taking over the front page, I'll post mine here:

I've got the 8th pick in my minor league draft.  There's some good talent available (mostly 2006 draftees or guys who broke out in '06) but a lot is clustered at the top.

Here's the top 10 players available for the draft.  I should be able to choose from at least three of them when my pick comes around.  I value guys who are closer to the bigs a little more, but won't pass up a future long-term stud.  What order would you put these players in?

Jay Bruce
Evan Longoria
Yovani Gallardo
Fernando Martinez
Jose Tabata
Reid Brignac
Tim Lincecum
Nick Adenhart
Luke Hochevar
Elijah Dukes

Dukes
Elijah is likely to make the Opening Day roster.  Plan accordingly.
  1. Lincecum
  2. Bruce
  3. Gallardo
  4. Longoria
  5. Brignac
  6. Hochevar
  7. Martinez
  8. Tabata
  9. Adenhart
I could have flipped the two D'Rays as Brignac has the least blocking him.  (Sorry, Mr. & Mrs. Zobrist.)

Mostly, this is a list of 2007 contributees with the exception of Bruce, but his longer-term value is too good to pass-up.

Later on, Joey Votto and Colby Rasmus would be nice picks.

Lincecum First...
followed by...

Gallardo
Dukes
Longoria
Tabata
Hochevar
