Book Delivery
We're getting reports now of the book arriving in readers' mail today, at least for people in the Midwest. It sometimes takes another day or two to get to the coasts. Use this thread to let us know if you've received the book today. We made a major upgrade with the printing quality this year, and are very happy with the new printing company.
And I know for a fact that many of you haven't ordered yet. What are you waiting for? Click on the link at the right to order the Baseball Prospect Book! It's the best way to support this website.

Another NJ delivery
Got the book in NJ today and am very excited to get reading. Your note on the front page was a very nice touch as well. This is the first time I bought the book but plan on being a repeat customer. Hope to hear you on XM again this spring

customs clearance
Getting it cleared as one lot is definitely easier. It is not necessarily customs that is the problem, sometimes the broker is too busy, or there is missing information the government wants.
Not sure it is a good option on a $20 (or so) book, but you could always use FedEx or UPS, pay the high rate and you get your book in 2 days, if it's needed that bad.

Can we get a confirmation when the books are mailed to the buyers?
Last year I noticed that my envelope was hand adressed, have you supplied Barry with labels this year to speed the process?

Received but...
I found it hard enough to read last year's book - especially the stats in that lighter typeface - but this year it will have to be reviewed in small doses under ideal conditions...
John, love the info, but you've got to get a PDF version available out there on time, so us visually impaired readers can have a chance to enjoy it.
John...
I am in educational publishing and we have to put all of our books in print, online eBook, and pdf format as well.

Received in Naples, FL
I found your book in my mailbox when I checked it at 2:30. I was pleasantly suprised, considering how slow the mail service is here in Southwest Florida.
This is the first book of yours I've ordered and it looks great. Keep up the excellent work!

Envelope was nearly destroyed for me too. It's amazing that the books still in good shape, I barely even had to push the envelope to make it fall apart and release the book.

It's in Queens.
The thicker, glossier pages are a major improvement. Much more professional look and feel. Good choice on the printing company.
got the book today (1/29)
Suburban Philly
However, after just one day of flipping through it a big chunk of pages (most of the index) is coming apart at the spine. It looks like maybe the glue did not extend all the way to the back of the book. I suspect in a short amount of time that section of the book is going to completely come lose.

Got it!
One suggestion for future editions: Could you come up with a symbol (or something easily identifiable) to flag players who have made their MLB debut? I know a lot of us are in APBA/SOM leagues and it would really help when flipping through to quickly see who's made the show. I know you can look at the stats and see their highest level but having a "star" or something next to the name would be MUCH easier. Not a complaint, just a suggestion for the future!

One suggestion for next year - could you list the page # that the player is found in the book on the team lists in the back of the book. It would make it easier for people to find the player in the book (even though they are in alpha order in the book)

And let me say that you would not have gotten lynched if you had left Jared Lansford off the A's list. It would have been, however, a horrible mistake on your part that fortunately you were smart enough to avoid.
