Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

Ryan Shealy Crystal Ball

The basic idea here is that Shealy will be a very solid hitter for a few years but will age rapidly due to his body type.

I'll take it as a Roylas fan
4 good years....i'll take it...would love to see him break Balboni' Royals single season Hr record though.

I like it
I have his average down a little and his HR's a little more. But if he can do this and be a league average 1B, I think there is nothing to complain about.

Mike Sweeney type
A little less in the average dept than Sweeney though. I think KC would be thrilled with that. Based on those projections though, probably not even gonna come close to sniffing a playoff game.

so
Shealy is the guy that's gonna put them over the top? Doubt that. It's all about pitching...that will decide where they fall the next years.

Always think the projections are optimistic
You know, I almost always think these projections are optimistic.  Guess I am just a contrarian.  But 100 RBI seasons for Shealy don't seem realistic to me.  And that year with the Pirates in  2013.  That just depresses me as a Pirates fan.
