Your prospect might be in trouble when: he is deemed to be the next Tom Glavine - and he's a hitter.

(More seriously: your hitting prospect might be in trouble when he's compared to Andy Van Slyke (serious Kiss of Death))

Your prospect might be in trouble when his worst off the field moment was better than his worst on the field moment (I'm looking at you Delmon)...

Your prospect might be in trouble when...
He generates great speed off the bat - but he's a pitcher.

He finally makes it to the show and gets called "rook" by guys younger than him.

He finally makes it to the show and gets called "rook" by guys younger than him who were signed as free agents.

His five tools include fielding and throwing arm (to four different bases).

Your prospect might be in trouble if...

The organization that drafts him does so on "signability."
