As many prospect and MiLB fans know Jason Lane has been a thing of mystery and confusion. I don't know if he ever had superstar qualities but he was one of the guys you could pencil in for a good 8-10 year career with a chance at a couple All-Star games. With his excelent 2nd half last year he was expected to be a good OF option for the Stros and was drafted around round 12-14 in most fantasy leagues(I drafted him in the 10th in one). To put it lightly he has had a bad year.
Luke Scott is hitting .438 with 39H in 27G with a 1280+ OPS. This is a Small Sample though it is ridiculous!!!
Most people know Lane has gotten a raw deal for 3 years and Scott is a really late bloomer as far as prospects. Should a player like Jason Lane get another shot at MLB or is he a guy that gets passed by if there is no room because of Scott? Also, would you want to give Jason Lane a shot on your team?
Hirsh: As many of yall know I am a big Hirsh fan and have seen him pitch in 3 parks. I went to the movies the night after he started(two nights ago) and guess who I met? Yes, No lie, I saw Jason Hirsh at the movies. He was with his parents and a girl. I am 6'2" and he is every bit of 6'8". It was just a hello, nice job, good luck with the season thing, but it felt like a sign that he would be good. Because I may have been one of or the first person to recognize him in Houston and I have actually followed his career path it had to be something. It was cool for me at least.
