Hirsh ... how did he look?

Was extremely disappointed that the SD-Hou game was not carried on the cable package. I saw he had the one bad inning, but it seemed like he was dancing on the edge a bit as well. Any opinions? I guess he was marginally better than Garza, considering they went on back to back nights and they had been compared here earlier. Thanks in advance.

Hirsh
I was impressed with his change-up. He threw mostly fastballs sitting at 92-94(avg 93) and a few at 95. His slider has a lot of downward movement and little slide. No curves in the game to my knowledge.

His stuff was great and so was his fastball command. I can state the problem he has to fix before his next start. !!He did not throw a single slider and only a few changes for strikes!! He did get several swinging strikes on both, but to be successful he has to get some of those over the plate.

With his fastball control and slider/change both being above average pitches, he can be good right away.

On a side not Preston Wilson was optioned. Will trade for bag of balls.

Gee
A bag of balls seems a bit much to give up for him.

Thanks
This is great stuff.  I hope MLB EI has his next start, I have heard a lot about this kid and would love to watch him pitch.

So I guess they're not going to pick up that 3 year option then?

Overthrowing
I have read some reports that he was to hyped up and was overthowing.  That we leaving his fastball up.  Didn't see it just read it.
