Apparently the Braves were offered a Lester/Hansen/Crisp package for Andruw Jones and declined.
I have to admit, I'm a bit surprised by this as it would seem to be a decent deal for the Braves. I'm a little more surprised, however, that the Red Sox were willing to offer both Lester and Hansen AND that the Braves passed on them.
Seems a little strange that two teams noted for player evaluation skills are apparently cool on two guys considered to be blue chip going into the year. I have to admit that I wasn't very impressed by Lester when he faced the White Sox, but still, it wasn't that long ago that he was considered the cream of the crop of LHP prospects.
