Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

DUKES removed from team

"Elijah Dukes was removed from the team at Triple-A Durham because of an altercation with coaches last week.
Dukes, who has a long history of on- and off-field problems, is working out in Florida"

I know this incident was talked about last week but what exactly does "removed from team" mean?  Seems a bit different than a suspension.

I'm not even sure why I ask on this board with how pompous people are here with their replies.  Last week when I posted just asking the simple questions if Dukes and Young roomed together the "outrage" response was pretty funny.  Hopefully the level headed will reply.

Birds of a feather.........

Dukes
He was sent back to Tampa to deal with some issues.  Joe Maddon said he should be returning soon but did not say if that was going to be at Durham.

I wait with baited breath...
for BA to come out with another interview with him, so he can rationalize every misstep in this specific situation.

I still say
Dukes threw the bat.   You never actually do see Delmon throw the bat on the video, do you?

Mystery solved!
Taking you seriously is a fool's errand, I know, but watch the video - Dukes was batting after Delmon in the order, and walks behind him, bat in hand, while Delmon is still standing at the plate. If Dukes threw the bat, it would have hit the ump in the ass.

That's very postmodern
Even video can only show us what the camera catches.  We miss all the peripheral and the audio.  Maybe the camera operator had a bias towards Delmon?  oh the possibilites, in a postmodern world!!!!
