Patton Problems?
To those who were doom and gloom on Troy Patton last week, should check out his line from this weekend. 17 straight batters retired before his first walk. A no no through 6 when he reached his pitch count limit. His start before that was more solid than previous.
I think he may have gotten things straitened out huh?
I also think he may get a few starts a AA before the year is out.

This Website has grown increasingly reactionary recently.
Is Patton's start a good thing? Yes. I'm cheering for him, since the Stros are my NL team. But I'll say he's turned it around once he is consistently good, not after 6 innings
Jgaztambide...
Your punctuation was really hitting the zone at the right speeds and your spelling was impeccable. You are a sure-fire HOF Blogger! You should run your own site you are so good.
But one bad post, and I think you should be banned from this site.
(Sorry, couldn't resist. I actually agree with your first paragraph. Just having fun with ya. Gotta make sure you know its a joke, some people on this site dont understand sarcasm.)
Allow me to make my case stronger then...
Then he starts the year with a few rough outings and people are saying whats wrong. I was actually responding to the folks who had starting to write him off because of a rough start
To expand his numbers let's do last two starts
12 1/3 innings pitched, 5 hits, 2 earned runs, 2 walks and 17 k's. I would say he has probably in the right direction to figuring out whatever was not working.
Who is the better prospect

Patton
Hirsh's results were great last year but he doesn't have a long track record of success and he surrenders a lot of fly balls and was helped out by his spacious home park last year. I don't think he's anything more than a back-of-rotation starter in the big leagues while Patton at least has a chance to be something more than that.
