Around SBN: Raiders' GM Begins The Purge

Royals

what is up with this franchise?  I understand not promoting Gordon or Butler until they are ready, yet why not play Justin Huber every day?

Now, I could see playing Meinkevitch or Stairs IF you were actually winning, yet if you are not winning then start the future.  I don't know if the owner or GM know this yet having a 60 win season is NOT a good thing.  It is unacceptable.  Playing a competitive game and losing is not acceptable.  If you are going to lose, at least let the future of your franchise play.  Justin Huber was an excellent hitter in the minors and he needs to play every day.  I would even play him at first base every day in that Butler will be arriving next year.

This franchise is doomed to lose 100 games a year.  It is unacceptable.

Winning teams tend to not play guys like Meinkasdfasdf or Stairs on a regular basis, that a big part of the Royals problem.

2002 Tigers
The Royals remind me of the 2002 Tigers (terrible and old).  I hope KC fans don't also get the 2003 Tigers (unbelievably terrible, but young).

I always thought 2002 was a worse year than 2003.  The entire Opening Day roster was aged utility men.  Later in the year, they brought up a couple of Quadruple A sluggers...

jeez
I can see that comparison.  Sweeney is KC's Higginson, if with different problems.  Buck's KC's Inge (hopefully)?  Minky it's Randall Simon, soon to be replaced by Justin Huber (as Simon was Pena)?  Both teams even have (had) Mark Redman in the rotation.  But who's KC's Dean Palmer?  Yes, he rarely played, but he unceasingly provided Tiger-faithful with hope.

Reggie Sanders?
But he is playing too much.

For KC fans sake, I hope Burgos isn't Matt Anderson.  It is wayyyyyyyy too soon to say that, anyway.
