This is the first of 2 posts I'll create along these lines.
What should the Lerner group do? Rebuild through the decimated farm system? Throw more money at the problem and try to get a bunch of free agents during the off-season? Make trades now?
Personally, I'd say everyone is available and make trades for prospects and build around Zimmerman (the only untouchable). They shouldn't make the mistake the DRays made when they first came to be and hire FA's that really won't help build a contender.
