Around SBN: Kobe Bryant Isn't Up To Speed On Jeremy Lin, 'Linning'

Brignac

Anyone know what his D at SS is like?  With a potential Upton move to 3B or 2B would the organization view Brignac as a possible long term answer there?

Any love for a couple of High A Brewers out there in Gallardo or Escobar?  I don't read a lot about either one though both are very young and productive.

Not so great
I don't see Brignac sticking at short long-term.  His range isn't too spectacular, and he was 5th in the minors in errors last season (and has a few more already to start this season.  They'd probably leave Brignac at short as long as possible, but with his build and his skill set, he's probably much better suited for third anyway.

Brignac
is a badass. So is Gallardo.

But yeah, I'd be stunned if Brignac stayed at SS.

I think 3B was the plan for Brignac...
...since he was drafted...but now Upton's struggles and Bankston's switch make everything confusing...I think eventually Upton will end up at CF/2B, Bankston at 1B, and Briggy at 3B...I'm not sure how all the contracts are right now, but I think Cantu may become too expensive for the Rays' taste, and that will free up 2B for Upton....T Lee won't hold up Bankston once he gets going...and Briggy should settle into 3rd quite nicely.
