thoughts on lastings milledge?

i'm curious to see what people think milledge will do this eyar in Triple A, which is where i assume he will start the year. obviously ST games aren't the highest level of talent, but milledge has done well, better than i expected anyway. he obviously needs to improve his plate discipline and his sb % to be a more effective player. that said i am interested in the opinions people have on what his performance will be like this year. thanks in advance!

he'll hit well enough to drum up his stock so omar can use him to acquire a #2 starter in august. or a new toe for pedro

Exactly
However, that #2 starter must be at least 40 years old.

it's a poor attempt
to make fun of the Mets starting staff...specifically Tom Glavine.

For some reason, people think the Mets starters are a lot older than they are. Sure, they have some vets (Pedro, Trach, and Glavine), but they have some decent/adequate young pitchers too (Heilman, Mr. Kazmir trade fodder).

re
He's a potential All Star. Tools player that has some polish on his game. Needs to improve some things, but he's only 20 years old and has torn it up everywhere he's played despite being one of the younger guys in his league.

I see him developing more power than most expect. I remember seeing on here some people thinking he'll only do 10-20 homers annually. I see much more than that. I'm thinking he's a 30-30 guy. I also see some free swinging and don't think he'll hit the .330 he did in AA. Maybe a .270-.290 range with a 25-35 homer range to go along with 30-40 steals (once he gets the baserunning down, good thing they got Rickey in camp)

My prediction
The Mets trade him to the Brewers for Dan Kolb. Kolb has a 2 week stretch where he consistently gets lefties out, and the Mets, sighting the fact that a simple tweak in his delivery would cause him to be more consistent - pull the trigger.

In reality, I think a line of .320/20/87 with 34 steals is realistic for AAA. His power is still developing.
