don't go on a road trip with a cranky 1-year-old getting over a cold.
don't go on a road trip when you are a cranky 38-year-old coming down with a cold.

Sorry to hear about your cold - hopefully, 2007 will be much better for you. Try to get as much rest as you can, along with taking Zicam and equivalents, and hopefully, the cold will get knocked out of you before too long.
