Veal!
i voted other..because of the cubs LHP Donald Veal...

he is in all the other top prospects lists and i dont see whay he doesnt get any love from this site...i guess there are no cubs fans in this forum... he had a great year and should garner some consideration...at least a tester

im a mets fan and think veal should have been on the list already...what do you guys think of him???

well
i dont love veal as much as others but i know i'd vote for him over like 3 people on this particular list...

Veal is a good prospect and almost certainly will be somewhere in the Top 100.  But I think it is too early for him, and apparently most of the community thinks the same.  He had a tester before.  We can give him another tester, but I dont think he'll get much support at this point.

Kouz!
Which one of these players has nothing left to prove?  Kouz! Who did SD send they're young prized Josh Barfield for? Kouz! I don't think he's top ten, but he's as good or better than half this list so far, what has Bill Rowell done?

Sweeney
I had temporarily given up on him in these polls due to the lack of support, but he looks to officially be in the mix and I will now vote for him til he wins.  Looks like he still has a shot to make the top 60.

An "Other" Vote
For Troy Patton, mostly because I believe that, among the available selections, only Ryan Sweeney even compares to Patton but also in protest of his being dropped despite at last check having one less vote than Kevin Slowey and more than half as many votes as the second-place finisher.

It is one thing to be dropped, it is another thing to be dropped in favor of Joel Guzman. As much as I appreciate the efforts of Joel's mom and his 13 cousins to recognize the accomplishments of a player that managed to regress offensively while playing in two of the most favorable hitting environments this side of the moon yet still found time to race down the defensive spectrum in near-record speed, Patton and Clement are just two of an Antonio Alfonseca-handful of prospects better than Guzman that are not listed on this poll.

The hard reality
Is that if there we took the ten guys who had received some support in previous testers, and added them to this list, it would change the outcome, and the vote would spread even more...Past the top 25 or 30 guys, everybody has got their favorites and every prospect has a hole or flaw...

So as much as we gnash our teeth that such and such a player is disrespected, the fact is that the rankings don't necessarily tell you that the majority of the board prefers ellsbury to pie

Or for that matter, we don't know that the majority of the board wouldn't prefer Sweeney to, say, Barton or Stewart. The more candidates, the less certainty we have regarding the board's actual preference between two prospects. After all, 86% of us think somebody on that list is better than Travis Snider but he's the leader...

50 spot
I think is a bit different here than at say 40, because most everyone wants their guy to make the top 50, and probably doesn't necissarily think he's the best of all current choices right now.  But guys getting the most votes right now, are people who have been getting votes for a while, and I know that I've been voting for Snider since about 44.
Rios is the next Juan Gonzales, thats right, I said it.

Add to poll
It looks like Guzman and Slowey will come off the poll this time so there'll be room for 3 new players.  It looks like the Mets fans are not stuffing our ballot box anymore, so how about a tester for Carlos Gomez?  Also, how about seeing how much support there is for Chris Parmelee now?  And re: pitchers, I'd like to see Guerra get a tester, but mine seems like a minority opinion.  We could put Patton back on, or if you want to give Veal another tester, that's fine.  But to me the best pitcher left is Carlos Carrasco.  How about a tester for him?  McGee and Inman are other pitchers that deserve testers soon.
