Keeper league trade advice
Looking for some help I'm torn about a trade offer I received in my 11 team NL only leauge.
I trade Tom Gordon at $21 (no big deal since I have F. Cordero + M. Gonzalez), Tom Gorzelanny $5 (can be kept 2 more years at that price), Annibal Sanchez $1 (can be kept for $1 for just next year, if kept longer it's as follows $6 for this and next year, or $11 for 2007,2008,2009 seasons).
Kinda confusing I know but figure it would be
Tom Gordon $21 for 1 year
A. Sanchez $11 for next 3 years
Gorzelanny $5 for next 2 years
In return I get Jeff Francoeur at $15 for the next 2 years, Chris Snyder at $1 for 2 years, and Amezaga for $2 for next year.
I'm pretty loaded in pitching as I'd still have Tim Hudson, Anthony Reyes, John Maine at a combined $10 and would have plenty of money to spend to buy an ace or 2 to anchor the staff.

re
The talent isn't even close and except for Gordon's contract, the salary cap space isn't even that good.
Look at it this way: Sanchez and Gorzelanny for $16 over the next two years of Francouer and Snyder at the same amount?
lol
Snyder and Amezaga are non-factors.... so let's not even talk about them.
Francouer? He's decent for fantasy assuming you're in a 5x5 league, but in most 5x5's he's less valuable than a Gordon or Sanchez alone.
Also, Hudson, Reyes, and Maine isn't close to being loaded in pitching in an 11 team league. In fact, that staff might be one of the worst in the league although you have Reyes and Maine for cheap.
Why not see if you can get away with trading Gordon and Hudson for Francouer and Snyder? You save some money by getting rid of big contracts and still get the guy you want.
francisco cordero
How do you guys expect Cordero to fare as as the Brewers' closer next year?

Too much
Snyder does have some value as a #2 catcher and his price gets no more attractive, but Francouer is going to be a negative in AVG and that will hurt.

Some more info
Snyder and Amezaga yeah they are just throw ins that could possible be interesting as I could trade them later on in the deal. Tom Gordon at $21 in a $260 cap league for 23 man roster I hadn't planned on holding onto so giving him up is pretty much nothing.
What's the thoughts on Annibal? 5.66 K/9, 1.56 K/BB doesn't seem all that impressive to me. Looks like he was just really hit lucky (.230 BIPA) last year so I'm worried his ERA could go up to the 3.75-4.00 range that his DipsERA from last year would suggest.
Just thinking Frankie is relatively safe bet to help me in Runs, HR, RBI while Sanchez and/or Gorzleanny are questions marks (TINSTAPP).
Bad trade
Bad trade. Let Gordon go and spend the $21 bucks elsewhere. The value of Annibal+Gorzelanny+Whomever you get with the cash will be greater than Francoeur+Garbage can provide.
Relative Value

Yeah,
Prices
Adam Dunn was drafted at the start of the 2004 season for $26 and kept for 2005 and 2006 at that price.
Burrell I drafted before the 2005 season for $20 and then traded him that year for Tim Hudson and Burrell was kept for $20 coming into 2006.
My league
So that's 55-60 OF's that start for each fantasy team every week.
deal
Snyder: non-zero value. In a league that size, he'll be one of the better #2 catchers, and for a buck!
Amezaga: Nothing in his history suggested to me that he could hit even .260, but having an SB guy who plays a bunch of positions makes for a very good bench player, if you can keep him as a bench player and still draft a full team. I'd expect his PT to go down a lot in 2007, but still should be good for 10+ SB.
Francoeur: This is where the strange alter-reality of roto doesn't make any sense. That .300 OBP doesn't hurt you at all, while his swing-happy ways will pad his RBI stats. I think that Jeff's defense and power will keep him in the lineup even if he keeps doing only what he did in 2006, and he does have a chance to develop some. Guys who hit like him are always $20+ in an auction, sometimes a lot more (especially with inflation), and are good "build-around" players.
Meanwhile, you're giving up:
Gorzelanny: This guy looks pretty good to me, and I'd love to have him at $5/2 yrs. But it's still the Pirates, and it's not like he's going to strike out 200 guys, either.
Sanchez: As noted above, his K9 rate is a bit low. He's a good pitcher, and Florida's ballpark will help him. But personally, I'd stick to low-priced pitchers outside of the top-tier guys. I got Suppan for $2 in a 12-team league last year, and he provided 12 W's, a 4.12 ERA and good WHIP in 190 IP. There's almost always someone like that around, and then there are the pitchers who get jobs during the first couple months, and do well. Sure, Sanchez is better than these guys, but not enough to make me want to pay a lot for him in an auction. I don't know if I'd even go much above his $11 salary in an auction.
Gordon: $21, was hurt the entire 2nd half, and duplicates values you have... Get what you can for him. I don't think he'd go too much higher than $21 in an auction, unless multiple owners are desperate for saves.
