The Brian McCann forum made me wonder about what the  community thought about who was the player they would Draft to build there team around who is 25 and under. I didn't relize he got so much love but we'll see what everyone thinks.

There are strong cases for all of these guys, but remember its not just hitting but defense, speed, leadership, intangibles, all that jazz.

Miguel Cabrera- Probably the best power and over all hitter on this list, but definitely has many draw backs as well. Defense, Leadership, and effort have been questioned before.

Joe Mauer- Won a Batting Title this year and is looking to be a HOF catcher if he can add some power. Soild Defense, but will he be a leader on a talented club with a mix of differnt players?

Brian McCann- You can check the fourm for his comments. He has a lot of praise and it seems as if people think he can be great.

David Wright- STOP THE DEREK JETER COMPS... Wright is already an outspoken leader on the Mets, but his playoff preformance left much to be desired. If he could build on this years first half he could end up being the best player on this list in terms of winning and leadership.

Jose Reyes- The most exciting player in baseball. Wacthing him from home to third is always a pleassure. Can he keep it up and be a top leadoff hitter? Will his OBP increase?

Robinson Cano- The most cerebral hitter i've seen in a while. He can flat our hit. I'm not sure about his defense or vaule in that stacked lineup, but only time will tell how great he can be. He has the tools.

Grady Sizemore- Great Defense, and Already a fan favorite will allow him to be a Star. The amount of XBH he had is still not setting in to me, its just insane. Can he have a season like that again, or did he just find the gaps this year?

Justin Morneau- In the begining of the year people were wondering if he would ever breakout. He responded with a huge year. I think he could develop more power as his frame gets larger.

Carl Crawford- Will he be lost in TB for his career. It seems as if he feels overlooked, as he screamed about not getting the attention Reyes was. With that aside he is a great toolsy talent that could probably play every OF positon.

Personally, i would take Mauer. Its a hard postion to fill and he has a beautiful swing. Whats your take? Sorry if i left anyone off
