Tired of Matsusaka!
I am so tired of hearing about this guy already! Frankly, we don't even know for sure if he will be here. In fact, at this time I see him as no more than another future cheap Japanese import. Therefore, I have been doing some thinking...my vote is for the Honda.
Please, I am merely trying to add a little humor to the day in John's absense.

Toyota or Honda
Give me a Toyota over a gas guzzling American pig any day.

I don't know what's more offensive?
Try doing a little research before making absurd comments like that.
Honda and Toyota have made more fuel efficient, better looking, and more reliable (look at resale value) cars for years while Detroit continues to make SUV's. To refute another misnomer, most of their cars are made here in America and most of the parts that they use are from America.
The Beatles broke up the Beatles, get over it. Their time came and they left on a high note rather than dribbling out uninspiring music like so many of their contemporaries for decades after their relevance. I'm glad it ended when it did. Yoko may not be the prettiest woman in the world to you, but Lennon loved her and that's good enough for me. Calling her ugly isn't very funny.
Now can we get back to baseball please :-)

And yes, japanese vehicles are kicking American behinds because the American automakers are dinosaurs who seem to lean more on "Made in America" than "Quality"

Are you still here?
Me, I'd take a weekly visits to a sushi bar, an evening with a Japanese race queen (google that) or a lifetime supply of Kirin or sake before I'd spend millions on Matsuzaka, but that's just me.

"Just a joke. Lighten up"
Cloaking racism in humor can be particularly damaging, because it's used as a way to make underlying racist sentiments seem ok.

Come on
Further, how do you imply that I am racist from asking if you'd rather spend money on a Honda, Toyota, or an overpriced, unproven ballplayer. I guess I did get your attention, however, as you probably voted. Also, I never implied anything about not realizing what a team-based environment and org behavioristic principles did for both Toyota and Honda. I fully understand their impact on the current "Big Three", and what's more, I still don't care.
Thanks Crimson for actually understanding my qeustion, as clearly others missed the intent. For those others, I truly apologize if I have offended you. It was never my intent.

Nope, no apology
You might not personally have racist feelings about Japanese people. I don't know you. You should know, though, that your post was absolutely racist/xenophobic in tone. If you don't think the message you were sending across was "Japanese products/people suck," then you need to take a refresher course in conversational language.

In all honesty...
As a matter of fact, I would probably take him over any of the free agents out there this winter if he didn't cost so damned much $. I really just hate to see the Skankees sign another high priced guy to add to their futile attempt to purchase another ring.
