Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

Edwin Jackson

Looking through last night's box scores I saw that Edwin Jackson started for the Jacksonville Suns and only lasted one inning.  According to the wrap up:

"Jacksonville starter Edwin Jackson was removed after allowing one run and throwing two wild pitches in the first inning. Speculation was the outing was short because he was about to be called up to the Dodgers."

Does anybody know if there is truth that EJ might be called up to LA?  I think he still needs time in AA.  Thoughts?

There is truth, as Joe Block (Suns announcer) confirmed that he was pulled because he is being considered for Monday's start. It would be as an emergency, Odalis Perez is injured, so if he's not ready, he could go right back to the minors

Ready... Or Not
Jeez, poor kid just got comfy at AA, and now they're throwing him to the lions.

Dodgers
I think the Dodgers certainly want to use a guy on the 40 man roster instead of making a major move.  Jackson has experience at the big league level and has been throwing the ball well lately.  I don't think they could stretch Broxton out right now.  This is where the injury to Wilson Alvarez really hurts them though.  A healthy Alvarez could swing between the bully and the rotation with no problem in past years.

I think a big question for the Dodgers is what to do with Odalis Perez.  He's very effective when healthy, but is injury prone.
