Around SBN: Eagles miracle run continues with road win over the Vikings Bar-right-arrows

MOD: Blue Jays II

Ok, barring any major changes with a prospect (like an injury) we're set for the first round pick.

Now we have to focus on Rounds 3-5.  The picks are 86, 116, and 146.

Star-divide

As is the team's general philosophy we'll focus on college players with these three picks.  I'm using Baseball America's top 200 list as a guideline, so if there's a college player that isn't ranked over 70 there's probably not much of a chance that they'll drop to the third round.

I suspect that there'll be more of an emphasis on college players in the mock draft if for no other reason than there more to analyze with college players so even college players ranked 80-100 will probably be gone at pick 86.

Also, apparently Chase Headley is no longer a secret (at least in these parts).

With the first 4 picks, unless certain players drop further than expected, I anticipate taking 2 hitters and pitchers or 3 hitters and 1 pitcher.

So who do you like?

Picks
I hope JP does better than this, but sticking with the script and JP's type of player here are my 3 picks:

86 - Kyle Slowey RHP Winthrop

116 - Jordan Brown 1B Arizona

146 - Danny Powers RHP Central Misouri St. SR

my "thoughts"
As useless as I was for the 6th pick, I am even more useless here.  I trust you, Pistol!

Slowey
Actually, Slowey (BTW, it's Kevin not Kyle) would be a nice pick.  Dean, I would agree that JP should do better than this!  Jordan Brown's a guy who's benefitted from a good home park, and I don't think the team would have a lot of interest in.

Brown
Yeah I hope they bypass him as well, he was just slotted right and did well in the Cape last year. I was using BA's Top 200 as a guide and have absolutely no idea what kind of a home park he plays at, Arizona does suggest some altitude.
