Rickie Weeks

My favorite prospect in the entire minors is Weeks. Now that he offically has started hitting like AAA is the AZ Fall League is it time to promote him? How long can Milwaukee go with Junior Spivey hitting .235 with and awful K rate? Weeks is sporting a near-1.100 OPS. I love this guy and want to see him in the big leagues.

I'd wait

I have alot of Rickie Weeks stock in my portfolio so I'm high on him. Still, his high Ks are slightly worrisome in AAA. Brewers wont win w/ or w/o him this year so why rush?

Promoting him this early in the season may allow him to reach "Super 2" status for arbitration. I'd wait and promote him after the all-star break.

But ultimately, after 2006 I'd try to sign him to a deal to buy out his arbitration years anyway...

Got my nats tickets. Lousy Seats: opening night(D'backs), 5/14(Cubs). Good Seats: 6/2(Braves), 6/9(A's), 7/5(Mets)

He'll likely be up in August

I think if the Crew trades Spivey, like they almost have to, Weeks will take over as the everyday 2B. It really depends on whether or not the Brewers are still within striking distance of a playoff spot, even though Weeks could probably easily outproduce Spivey right now.
