About that new Valentine ad...

I love how online advertisers know exactly how to appeal to the male sports fan's mind. So when you go to your fantasy baseball site, chances are you'll see some banner ads for gambling sites. How do you know it's an ad for a gambling site? It has a picture of a barely-dressed woman. What's the connection? Hormonal...

So about that new ad we see on this site, the one with the naked woman "wearing" only a heart-shaped box of chocolates held in a strategic position? I have four thoughts:

Star-divide

1. Boy, do these advertisers know us, or what? :)

2. This is just barely SFW...

3. I wonder if the female readers of this site would like a similar ad, showing some beefcake guy holding up a heart-shaped package in front of his, uh, package?

4. And speaking of female readers, remember when Patsy Dean volunteered to model anything suggested? Looking at this Valentine ad, uh Patsy, I have a suggestion...

We are wondering if this ad is safe for work or not. It may change.

Ad changed now
Ah, I see you did change the ad picture. Oh well, certainly safer for work, though not nearly as much fun. :)

Yeah, we were worried that it may get some readers in trouble with their bosses, so we asked the advertiser to change it. It is for the same reason that I confine cheesecake to the diary section after reader requests to do so.

Understand
Completely understand the decision. But I will say the original ad was some very nice cheesecake.

old photo
didn't get a chance to see old pic, can you put it up in the diary section?

copy
I don't have a copy.

It was a curvy naked woman using a Valentine's Day box to cover up her butt.

and...
...not quite succeeding 100%.

I went to the web site by clicking the ad (more revenue for you, John!), but alas I did not see that ad anywhere on their site.

Nice...
The curvy chick ad is still up on my computer at home.  When I was at work it showed that pic of the couple.  Weird.

the ad
Many people here liked the volleyball ads that were up a while ago. I do know one thing...that Valentine ad is much better than those.

I just came back to the site
And she was here waiting for me!  Still covering her butt (damn!), but here nonetheless.

girl
She just came back for some reason, but in case she goes away again we better save this one as part of our cheesecake archive.

And she's back!
I see the ad has reappeared, no doubt to general acclaim. :)

Think we can get rid of the ad again?
Sorry, just got caught checking up on the site on the school computers.  It was slightly embarassing trying to explain how I was just reading up on the AJ Burnett news.
