Most of the scouting reports say that he has great stuff, but he leaves too many pitches in the middle of the plate.  Having seen him several times at Frisco and then in Arlington, that analysis seemed pretty accurate to me.  Although he's 22, 2005 was just his second full-season(making his experience level similar to John Danks), so I'd say he has a good shot at figuring out how to put away hitters more consistently.

He throws hard, he throws strikes, and he has two quality breaking pitches.  He also receives high praise for his makeup.  That's the profile of an ace.  I think he'll be at least a quality #3 guy.  He will give up his share of solo bombs at Ameriquest, but assuming he stays healthy he could be the guy Jovanny Cedeno was supposed to become.
