What kind of production in 2006 do you guys see for the following players.

Doumit
McCann
Hall
Church
C. Jackson
Shelton
Zimmerman
Quintanilla
Pedroia
Willingham
Garko
Fielder

I realize almost everyone on this list isn't a lock to break camp, but to a man they have produced at every level.

Guys like Willingham, Garko and Doumit seem to be better versions of LeCroy, but are caught in a numbers game. Pedroia is hard to bet against if he  is healthy next spring. Likewise with Zimmerman.

Its kind of ironic that the two so called blue chip prospects, Fielder and Jackson, have the biggest hurdles to clear (if there isn't some major roster shuffling by their repective teams).

Thanks in advance.

Doumit and "numbers game"?
How is Doumit caught in a numbers game? I'm a little confused by that.

Jackson--AZ has a positional problem
Clark just signed extenstion.

Green, Gonzalez, Tracy and Quentin clogging up the OF and poor conner Jackson left to do what?

If Jackson gets traded or AZ makes room for him he is my choice. I guess Byrnes is kinda a wild card from a GM perspective.

trades
i think Az plans on trading... theres not a huge amount of great FA's this year, so the trade market could be swirling... some teams need a 3b, and Tracy is a hot player with a cheap contract .. i could defenitly see him or Jackson being moved

Every level?
Do you just mean every level in the minors or every level including the bigs because Quinantilla hit like a pitcher in Coors field

Agree with the Doumit question posed above
Doumit is not caught in a numbers game - if he hits and plays decent defense - he will catch 130 games next year.  His offensive upside is just what the Pirates need to add some excitement to that team.

The only problem with Willingham is that he makes Doumit look like a gold glove catcher and catcher is his best position.  As long as he is in the National League - I don't think he gets a real chance to play because he can't play the field.

I think McCann is going to have a starting job in the spring and that Estrada and something will be packaged to get a decent 3B or 1B player or maybe a veteran starter.

Just my thoughts on a few of them.
